We’re all expected to have a plan. It’s a standard interview question, “Where do you see yourself in 5 years?”. I say it’s okay not to pretend to know. When you let go of the long term plan and take the first step toward following your gut, you suddenly start to see things that you didn’t know existed before. And when you pursue those new interesting things, you start to see more opportunities than you know what to do with. Literally every step leads you to new steps. When you walk through one door, three more open and you have the ability to actually decide which one feels best because you’ve decided to let go of the plan. And this has to be a better option because the other way of doing things would be to follow a plan set by a previous version of yourself that didn’t know as much as you know now. I know this way of doing things leads to incredible opportunities because it happens to me every day.
In a melodic hardcore band that sounds like Killing The Dream. Stoked!
